Contest Rules & Regulations

1. Entrants must be legal residents of Florida, 18 years of age or older, and have lawful access to the Internet with a valid e-mail address. 
2. Employees WOFL-TV (“Station”), Fox Television Stations Inc, and their affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and immediate family members of such employees, are ineligible.

How To Enter

1. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Enter as often as you wish, one winner per household.
2. To enter beginning on January 10th log on to http://www.myfoxorlando.com  follow the link to the American Idol contest, then email your name, address, birth date, phone number and e-mail address in the fields provided. All entries must be received before midnight 1-16-07.
3. Station is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other contest information by Station or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Station is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE STATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Station reserves the right to cancel the contest if it becomes technically corrupted.
4. The  Winners will be selected during business days by random drawing from valid on 1-17-07. The first ten (10) names drawn will be for the Winners; the second (10) names drawn will be the alternates for the prize.
5. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ name, hometown and photograph for any advertising or publicity, without compensation for the winner.

The Prize

1. Ten (10) Prize winner will receive an American Idol Prize Pack.  Prizes supplied by FOXTV. Estimated Retail Value of prize $50.00.
2. Winners will be notified by phone on January 17th 2007.
3. Winner must sign a release and affidavit of eligibility and provide proof of age.  If winner does not sign the release and affidavit within 10 days of drawing, or if the winner is deemed ineligible, the winner will forfeit the prize, and the prize will be awarded to the alternate.  If the alternate fails to sign the release and affidavit within 10 days of notification, or is deemed ineligible, the prize will not be awarded to that day’s winner.
4. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner(s). The winner(s) cannot assign or transfer prize. Station reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
5. Winners must collect their prize from the station, located at 35 Skyline Drive, Lake Mary, FL.
6. The winner(s) is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes set forth in these rules.
7. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize from WOFL FOX 35 with a value of $50.00 or more within any 90-day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.

Odds of Winning Miscellaneous 

1. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WOFL, 35 Skyline Drive, Lake Mary, FL 32746.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope at least 1 week after the end of the contest to: WOFL, 35 Skyline Drive, Lake Mary, FL 32746.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules.
5. By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and that their entry materials are original, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Station, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, (c) to Station’s use of participants’ personal information as described in Station’s Privacy Policy located at 35 Skyline Drive, Lake Mary, FL 32746 during normal business hours, and (d) that entry constitutes an assignment to Station of all intellectual property rights in the entry materials, if any.
